The Great Barrier Reef from the Sea

The Great Barrier Reef from the Sea

We had taken the Wavepiercer cruise ship "Quicksilver" on a 90 minute trip to the Agincourt reef which is very close to Australia´s continental shelf where we moored over one of the most beautiful sections of the Great Barrier Reef. As we looked from the cruise ship from sea level we could not get a real view of the reef. But once we had completed the helicopter ride we where ready to go into the water to snorkel. There where many people and getting into the water was difficult due to the many people with flippers on. Diana swam around and took the pictures. I went under water and watched the beautiful fish float, Wow!

After snorkeling we took a mink sub ride in and around the reef and then headed back to Cairns.
